the bee fed initiative: Our owners, Kristen and Christina are the founders of "the bee fed initiative". This is for those that need a hand up! Donations to this account can be made directly at the bakery. Online donations are available under the bee fed initiative page on this site. 100% of all proceeds are used to supply our "bee fed sacks". Anyone who needs a hand up, can come in and just say "Put it on my account" and they will be given a "bee fed sack" which will contain a bottle of water, dessert, vegetable or fruit, chips and a sandwich at NO CHARGE to them. We enjoy helping our neighbors in our community and realize that sometimes, a hand up is just what is needed! If you know of someone who needs a hand up and is hungry.. let them know this is a judgement free establishment and we are here to help them!​
To feed our communities one person at a time. Through our initiative, we hope to encourage other food establishments to join in the practice of providing "bee fed sacks" to those who just need a meal. These sacks contain a sandwich, chips, fruit or vegetable, dessert and bottle of water. A simple meal that means so much to those who are hungry. With a simple phrase, "Can I put it on my account" the person in need alerts the staff and they will be provided a bee fed sack FREE OF CHARGE in a judgement free and private way. This is an easy way for those in need to not draw attention to the fact that they need help and allow them the dignity they deserve. All members of this initiative give 100% of the proceeds to funding the initiative and supplying the bee fed sacks free to those in need.
